Planning + Aftercare
Meet-and-Greets are available for interested families before joining 3Trees, and a thoughtful transition is crafted for young people after they leave the community.
Planning: Building Connections
Information sessions and meet-and-greets is available for interested families who have been invited to become part of the 3Trees community.
All young people and families will receive an individually tailored assessment prior to joining the Therapeutic Summer Camps. Families will have an active involvement in selecting the structure and content of their stay. Suitability and readiness are key component for admission which will be determined as a collective team decision for each individual family (see admission).
Aftercare: Maintaining Connections
Research shows that risk of harm can increase temporarily when young people transition out of effective and enjoyable treatment settings.
For this reason, we provide a thoughtful transition into everyday life after leaving camp.
Young people will participate in online sessions with their team leaders and cohort, offered to mentor newcomers, and contribute to the community in various ways (e.g., lived-experience workshops).
For us, this ongoing connection is an essential part of maintaining meaningful relationships.
